Noonkanbah Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) Membership Information

Noonkanbah Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is composed of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people whose ancestry/lineage traces to the Nyikina or Walmajarri skin groups, and/or who normally permanently reside within the boundaries of the Noonkanbah Community.

Eligibility Criteria – To become a member of the Noonkanbah Aboriginal Corporation (NAC), you must meet the following criteria:

Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Willingness to Join: You must express your desire to become a member and complete the membership application form.

Ancestry/Lineage: You must be eligible for membership as defined in the NAC Rule Book, specifically tracing ancestry to the Nyikina or Walmajarri skin groups.

Application Acceptance: Your application must be accepted by the NAC Directors.

Registration: Your name must be entered on the Register of Members.

Steps to Become a Member:

Complete the Application Form: You can fill out the membership application form online or obtain a physical copy at the NAC office.

Provide Supporting Documentation: Submit necessary documents, including:

A copy of your birth certificate.

List Your Apical Ancestor: Identify and list your apical ancestor connected to the Nyikina or Walmajarri skin groups.

Board Consideration: Your application will be presented to the NAC Board of Directors. If your application meets all criteria and is deemed acceptable, it will be approved.
